Research Interests:

The Draper Lab focuses upon the early stages of human pluripotent stem cell differentiation, with the aim of annotating the genetic pathways that govern the specification of the three germ layers during human element. In particular, we are interested in dissecting the fate decisions that control the generation of human definitive endoderm tissues and how these processes can be manipulated to increase the efficacy of liver and lung differentiation protocols. These studies are aided by novel lineage associated reporters that we have generated and the implementation of efficient gain/loss of function techniques within pluripotent stem cells.
