Introduction to Intellectual Property & Entrepreneurship for Biotherapeutic Scientists workshop will offer engaging sessions, informative talks and panel discussions. The workshop is geared toward providing attendees with an overview of the fundamentals of intellectual property (IP) and entrepreneurship within the biotherapeutics sector. Presentations and activities will introduce concepts related to understanding the integral concepts of IP, including how to conduct a patent search, and issues related to starting your own company, such as financing the development of a discovery, making a business plan, and tips, tricks and lessons learned from experts in the biotechnology sector.
