Research Interests:
Our laboratory has a dedicated interest in regenerative medicine and have been working diligently on research in the field of neonatal intestinal disease. We are focused on necrotizing enterocolitis, which is the most common gastrointestinal emergency in newborn infants. We are striving to gain insight into its mechanisms, with a particular interest in the underlying intestinal stem cell dysfunction. We are investigating potential treatments, including stem cell-based therapies, and aspire to translate our findings into a clinical setting.
