Alan Moses, Associate Professor, University of Toronto

Profile & Deparment: Associate Professor, University of Toronto, Department of Cell & Systems Biology

Research Interests:

Research in Alan Moses’s lab is focused on understanding how regulatory networks are encoded in DNA and protein sequences, and how these sequences and networks evolve. We are primarily computational biologists, leveraging the “big data” currently available from sequencing and imaging. Current projects in the lab include efforts to understand the conservation and evolution of disordered protein regions (key components of signaling networks), and how they influence protein localization and abundance at the single cell level.
