Research Interests:
Our lab takes on an integrated systems physiology approach to metabolism and regenerative medicine. We are particularly interested in balance of NAD+, as a signalling metabolite, to control pathways that mediate energy production in various tissues or stem cell populations. In particular, we question how signals related to NAD+-metabolism are affected during metabolic or neuromuscular diseases and how these pathways can be targeted to develop new therapies for tissue regeneration.
