Roshni Rainbow
Profile and Department: Assistant Professor, Department Mechanical and Materials Engineering, Queen’s University
Research Interests:
Morphogenesis defines the developmental processes by which native tissues take shape as they mature towards their functioning adult form. Our lab investigates mechanical and chemical interdependence during musculoskeletal development with a translational goal of informing a morphogenesis-driven platform for engineering functional load-bearing tissues. Current research projects are focused on the study of the mechanochemical role of neighboring tissues on cartilage development and spatiotemporal control over stem cells for cartilage tissue engineering.
