Our research group focuses on the development of tissue engineered cartilages (articular cartilage, auricular cartilage, and the intervertebral disc) with specific focus on the effects of biophysical stimuli. Currently, his research group is working on the development of cartilage-specific bioreactors, the effect of mechanical stimuli and the regulation of specific mechanotransduction pathways, and recently, has been investigating the effect of glucose metabolism on tissue growth
