OIRM is pleased to host it's third Stem Cell and Regenerative Medicine Symposium on Thursday, May 25 at the Peter Gilgan Centre for Research and Learning (686 Bay Street, Toronto). The symposium is a one-day annual event bringing together scientists, clinicians, trainees, industry, health charities and government to share advances made by OIRM's Disease Teams and discovery science that demonstrate Ontario's translational capacity in regenerative medicine.
Keynote and featured speakers:
This year's Kenote Presentation, "Translating Genome and Epigenome Editing to the Clinic" will be given by Dr. Fyodor Urnov, Associate Director, Altium Institute for Biomedical Sciences and Adjunct Professor of Genetics, UC Berkeley.
In all, 18 featured speakers are included in the full agenda, which includes sessions on: Novel Approaches to Regenerative Medicine, Translation of Cellular Therapies, Promoting Endongenous Repair and Moving to the Clinic. Stem Cells in 60 Seconds
This trainee-focused event, presented as part of the Symposium will allow 10 lucky participants to showcase their research to an audience of 250 with a single PowerPoint slide and 60 seconds. Applications forms are available at http://oirm.ca/oirm-research/trainees
